Sari Reisner, ScD
Sari Reisner, ScD is Assistant Professor of Pediatrics at Harvard Medical School, Associate Scientific Researcher in the Division of General Pediatrics at Boston Children’s Hospital, and Affiliated Research Scientist at The Fenway Institute at Fenway Health. Trained as a Social Epidemiologist, his research focuses on: (1) health disparities and inequities in lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender (LGBT) populations, with specialization in local, national, and global transgender and gender nonconforming health; (2) the epidemiology of infectious diseases including HIV and sexually transmitted infections (STIs) in marginalized, underserved populations, with specialization in biobehavioral intervention design and development; (3) psychiatric epidemiology concentrating on mental health and substance use/abuse risks and resiliencies in adolescents and young adults. Dr. Reisner is currently an investigator on 7 funded studies in transgender health, including as PI of a Patient-Centered Outcomes Research Institute (PCORI) grant funding the Trans Masculine Sexual Health Collaborative (TMHC) and conducting a mixed-methods biobehavioral acceptability and feasibility study of innovations in sexual health screening for female-to-male (FTM)/trans masculine adults. He has co-authored more than 80 peer-reviewed journal articles and was honored as part of the 2015 Trans100—celebrating work “by” and “for” transgender people—in recognition of his contributions to transgender health research. Education and Training: Dr. Reisner completed two years of post-doctoral training in the Department of Epidemiology at Harvard T.H. School of Public Health. He earned a Doctorate of Science in social and behavioral sciences from Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, a Master of Arts from Brandeis University, and a Bachelor of Arts from Georgetown University.
Dana Pardee is an Epidemiology Projects Manager at The Fenway Institute at Fenway Health. He is currently managing the day-to-day operations of the Trans Masculine Sexual Health Collaborative. Dana is a trans man and trans health advocate who has been working on behalf of the transgender community for many years, both in Boston and in his home state of Nevada. While in Nevada, Dana helped conduct the Hope Grows for Nevada Trans Health study (PI: Clements-Nolle), the first ever needs assessment of the transgender community in Nevada. He is a founding member of the Transgender Allies Group (TAG) in Reno and regularly spoke to healthcare providers throughout the state on issues related to trans health. Dana is passionate about promoting trans health education, awareness, and compassion within the healthcare industry.
Elliot Marrow is a Research Assistant for the Epidemiology Team at the Fenway Institute at Fenway Health. He currently runs clinical visits for the PCORI project. Elliot is a transsexual man and non-binary person. He has worked with the LGBTQ (and especially T) population in Boston while a psychology undergrad at Harvard. He has previously worked in a variety of research settings and directed a homeless shelter. Elliot was also co-president of the Transgender Task Force, where he advocated for transgender students, including successfully revising BCBS insurance plans to include transgender health care and college housing policies for transgender people.
Renee Randazzo, M.S. was formerly the Transgender Health Patient Advocate at Fenway Health and now facilitates the online focus groups and assists the Trans Masculine Sexual Health Collaborative. Renee provides support and group therapy as a part of the multi-disciplinary program that oversees the care of transgender persons at Fenway Health. Renee holds a masters degree in mental health counseling, has worked with LGBTQ youth at Boston GLASS and Project RESPEQT, and has published works on parenting gender nonconforming children and on the experiences of queer-identified women.
Timothy Cavanaugh, MD
Timothy Cavanaugh, MD has been a physician at Fenway Health since 2013, when he was named Medical Director of the Transgender Health Program. In this role, Dr. Cavanaugh helps to guide Fenway’s multidisciplinary team approach to providing high-quality, informed care for trans women, trans men, genderqueer, gender nonconforming, non-binary individuals, affirmed men and women, people with trans histories, and anyone with health needs unique to their diverse gender expressions and identities.
Timothy specializes in Family Medicine and LGBT Health. He graduated from Dartmouth Medical School and Princeton University, and completed his residency training at the University of Virginia Health System. He is board certified in Family Medicine and speaks English.
Eleanor Doig, NP
Eleanor Doig, NP has been caring for the Fenway Health community since 2014. As a nurse practitioner, Eleanor is a primary care provider and works with supervising physician Timothy Cavanaugh, MD.
Eleanor specializes in Primary Care, LGBT Health, Women’s Health and HIV/AIDS Care. Her clinical experience includes time at Planned Parenthood and the Veterans Health Administration. Eleanor graduated from Yale University School of Nursing and Bowdoin College. She speaks English.
Tracey Toner, NP
Tracey Toner, NP has been caring for the Fenway Health community since 2013. As a nurse practitioner, Tracey is a primary care provider and works with supervising physician Karen Kelly, MD.
Tracey specializes in Primary Care, LGBT Health, Women’s Health and HIV/AIDS Care. She graduated from the University of Southern Maine and is a former member of the Peace Corps. She speaks English.
